Studio 308 Ltd Privacy Policy

Clare Smith, as sole director and owner of Studio 308 ltd, is the Personal Data Controller for data provided to Studio 308 ltd. I will only collect basic personal data about you which does not include any special types of information or location based information. This does however include name, address, email, phone number. I will respect the confidentiality of any personal data shared with me/the company or obtained from other organisations, keep it safe and make every effort to protect personal privacy.

I will be transparent about how, when and why Studio 308 ltd collects and processes information and will not do anything with personal information that individuals would not reasonably expect. I do everything I can to keep your data safe.

Why I need your data

I need your basic personal data to keep you updated with my news by sending you e-newsletters with information about my projects and invitations to and information about exhibitions, events and workshops I am involved in. I also need to contact people with whom I work, people who have bought work from me and/or people who have a legitimate interest in hearing from me or in the event of a public interest, vital interest or legal obligation. I need your data to provide you with information you ask for, to know how to contact you and to keep a record of individual relationships.

How I collect your data

Studio 308 Ltd collects your data when you subscribe to newsletters and/or complete feedback and evaluation forms or disclaimers and when you contact me and/or ask me to add you to my newsletter list. Any data collected via my Etsy shop or via my Baby Forest shop stays on those platforms although I may invite buyers to sign up to receive newsletters. Clients contacting me via these sites will not be added to my newsletter list unless they specifically request to be added. Information may be shared with my project funders or contractual partners. Individuals should check the Privacy Policy of these funders or contractual partners when providing their information to such partners. I may collect data that is publicly available such as information that has been published in articles/newspapers.

Social media

Depending on personal settings or the privacy policies for social media and messaging services such as (but not limited to) Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn or Twitter, individuals might give us permission to access information from such accounts or services

All the personal data I process is processed by Studio 308 Ltd in the UK. No 3rd parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so.
I use MailChimp to manage my e-newsletter list. Your data (name and email address) is held by MailChimp, which is compliant with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. Your data will not be shared with any other organisations and you can unsubscribe or manage your preferences at any time using the links at the bottom of all e-newsletters.

How long I keep your data

Your data will be kept until you notify me that you no longer wish to receive emails, newsletters or information from me.

Telephone calls

I do not record telephone calls.

What are your rights?

  • If at any point you believe the information I process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information by writing to me or emailing. You may request that such information is corrected, deleted or destroyed.
  • You may ask me not to send marketing material such as newsletters or invitations to events.
  • You can withdraw consent to receive e-mailouts (newsletters) at any time. In this case I will not send you any e-mailouts but may still send you emails.
